About this Shrine

Located in the heart of Sendai, the eighth city from east to west in Japan, Eight Clouds Shrine is a historic Shinto site dedicated to the storm god, Amaterasu-Ōmikami's lesser kami, Ōkadzuchi and also the regional deity Ōyadzuchi (also known as Ōyamazato no Kami), revered for its powerful storms.
