About this Shrine

Tangoshinsha is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. The shrine was originally dedicated to the deity Tangosho, a god of education and learning. Over time, it has come to be associated with the kami of good fortune, prosperity, and children's health.
