About this Shrine

Located in the heart of Akita City, Godai Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to Kamakura's legendary warlord Minamoto no Yoritomo's ancestor, Minamoto no Noriyoshi, however most locals worship the Kami of rice, or Tamayotsukuni.
