About this Shrine

Tsushima Island Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the primary deity, Kotoshogoto no Okami, as well as several other kami such as Otsuya-hime and Tsukiyomi. The shrine was originally built in the Heian period (794-1185 CE) on the island of Tsushima, which is now part of Tokushima Prefecture.
