About this Shrine

Located in the city of Yamagata, Shinto Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Japan dedicated to Ise-Shinmei Taisha's Shinto deities. The shrine was founded during the Nara period (710-794 CE) and has undergone several renovations over the centuries.
